For the fourth year in a row, and sixth time in the last seven years, the Rogers K-Rock Centre has once again been voted Canadian Venue of the Year under 8,000 seats at the 2015 Canadian Music and Broadcast Industry Awards.
“It’s hard to express how proud I am of this achievement for all of our staff, and of course, the City of Kingston. We’ve worked incredibly hard to become the must play venue of our size and truly never take it for granted. Our staff is dedicated to making the Rogers K-Rock experience a flawless one for the artist, production crew, promoter and fans alike. Receiving this award for the sixth time in seven years is real validation that our culture of excellence is noticed and appreciated, said SMG Canada’s General Manager of the Rogers K-Rock Centre, Lynn Carlotto.
The nomination for 2015 Major Facility of the Year under 8,000 seats was shared with Brandt Centre (Regina, SK), CN Centre (Prince George, BC), Consolidated Credit Union Place (Summerside, PEI), General Motors Centre (Oshawa, ON), Harbour Station (St. John, NB), Moncton Coliseum (Moncton, NB), and WFCU Centre (Windsor, ON).
